Fernet-Branca is an Italian herbal liqueur based on grape distillate. It contains around 40 herbs collected from all over the world, including exotic places such as India and Indonesia. The recipe for this bitters is of course a deeply guarded family secret, but some of the herbs in it are myrrh, rhubarb, chamomile, cardamom, aloe, saffron and myrtle. It has been produced in Italy since 1845. The taste is extremely bitter and memorable. It is suitable to enjoy as a digestif at room temperature or on ice. Alc.39%.
